  Description

Yellowtail flounder populations have been seriously depleted by overfishing and are subject to intense restorative efforts. The fish grows to an average size of 60 cm (2 ft) and 1kg (1-2 lbs).

The yellowtail flounder population is seriously depleted and supply is scarce. The fish is the subject of intense rehabilitation projects to help restore its population. Because of its scarcity very little of the stock is exported. Most of it is consumed locally around the area of harvest. Supplies will be small and erratic while the population recovers
