Cod
Iceland and Norway are the chief suppliers of cod to the the United States. Combined, the two countries, exports account for more than 60 percent of the cod imported into the US. Iceland's share of the US cod market could increase. The country's cod quota rose 18 percent last year and will go up again in September, says Elvar Einarsson of Iceland Seaforrd Corp.. "For the next three years, we will have a strong supply out of Iceland because the resource is managed so well," Einarsson says. 6/,98
