On this page you will find the answers to commonly asked
questions about this site.
What is the purpose of this site?
This site is designed to present a vast, dynamic database of information
pertaining to aquaculture. We hope that the page will help form the foundations
of an effective aquaculture management system. For an efficient management
system to exist, an adequate working knowledge of aquaculture must be developed
and a means of communication so that all aquaculture farms can benefit
from the information and avoid mistakes made by other farms. This site
is an attempt to establish such a database. We welcome any and all input
from aquaculturists around the world.
What is the difference between the best, normal, and light versions
of this page?
Each version of the site has identical information. The difference lies
in how the information is presented. The best version has the most features
to aid in navigating the site, but is larger, and requires a bigger monitor
to display it fully. The normal version lacks some of the best version's
advanced navigation features, in order to fit on a 640 x 480 screen comfortably.
The light version, does not use frames or any of the advanced features
found in the other two versions.
We recommend viewing the best version on the site.
Why do I get an error when I try to add information to the site?
Unfortunately, we exerienced a server crash recently and the files responsible
for that functionality were lost. The files are in the process of being recreated.
What is Quicktime?
Quicktime is a set of multimedia tools created by Apple Computer which
allows your computer to play the audio and video clips on this site. To
view the Audio and video clips make sure you have Quicktime installed and
the Quicktime plugin in the plugin directory in your browser's home directory.
Quicktime is available free from Apple

our site. To use these features in our site you must use Netscape Navigatot
