After you've settled in, it's only a short walk to Taos' historic plaza and dinner at
one of several outstanding restaurants. Check out our menu book to find the cuisine and
atmosphere you prefer. Stroll the plaza's colorful shops and many unique galleries. Taos
still retains much of the charm of a Northern New Mexico village from earlier in the
century and is willing to share its unique tri-cultural heritage with visitors. There are
seven museums a short distance (most within walking distance) from Orinda, Taos Pueblo is
only a 5-minute drive and the world-class Taos Ski Valley is 18 miles to the north.
