Management.

Front Desk Clerk / Guest Service Associate

Our front desk team enjoys full time work, a rotating schedule (everyone gets both the easy and hard shifts), fair pay, and the opportunity for growth in sales, marketing, and internet work. This is a very good position in Taos. Many jobs in Taos are seasonal. This is a permanent full time position. Our pay rate is about average for both Taos and the state. For those who grow into expanded work effort, the pay rate exceeds the local averages.

We seek dependability, honesty, accuracy, and professional people dealing skills. The successful candidate will be a take charge person who excels at making others feel welcome and at home. The ability to work with Guests and callers to sell the Inn, the Taos area, the activities, etc. is of paramount importance. The person who takes initiative to contribute to growing this business will be rewarded. Our GSAs are empowered almost to "manager of the day" status.

Our job title for our front desk clerk is Guest Service Associate. That tells the story. We and our Guests expect more than a clerk. As you may have noted throughout our web site, we are very much focused on just that, Guest Service! We and our Guests appreciate the second line of the title, "tour guide".
   
Housekeeping

Several jobs in this area. Housekeepers rotate through both room cleaning and laundry duties. A lead housekeeper is also here to check rooms, train, coach, and assist. These jobs are flex time - when we are busy, you get more hours, when we're slow, the hours decline. We expect rooms to be done in a manner that our Guests and the inspectors will be pleased with.  Expect hard work, up and down stairs, and loads of walking around the property. Remember how your grandmother cleaned, that often is close to what we seek in our HK team.

Maintenance

If it doesn't work, we can't rent it. From rooms to grounds, there is always something that needs attention or repair. Usually full time except during 3 or 4 very slow months. Special projects sometimes require extra Associates.
