PBS is proud to announce that nationally renowned Taos artist, Giovanna Paponetti, will be featured on PBS’ nationally syndicated program, The History Detectives. The episode titled, "Lost City of Gold", is scheduled to air on Monday, September 20th at 9 p.m. on the PBS station, KNME TV-5 in New Mexico.
"Lost City of Gold" will follow the investigation into an inscription on a rock in Phoenix, Arizona that is believed to have been created by a Spanish explorer from 1539. Paponetti’s paintings help tell the story.

Clear Light Publishing Corp. is pleased to announce the release of Giovanna's new book, Kateri: Native American Saint / The Life and Miracles of Kateri Tekakwitha. In celebration of the release there will be a book signing on Friday, August 20 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Strong Schenck Galleries at 200 Canyon Road in Santa Fe.
This book takes the reader into the world of 17th Century Native Americans and
Catholic missionaries. Kateri Tekakwitha (1656-1680), "The Lily of the Mohawks", was a Native American woman born near the Canadian border in present-day Auriesville, New York. She was Beatified by Pope
John Paul II on June 22, 1980 and, when canonized, will be the first Native American woman to achieve Saintly status.

and her painting of State Representative Nick Salazar was unveiled
on February 5, 2004 at
the State Legislature in the NM State Capitol Building in Santa
Fe, NM in the Halls of History, East and West Wings.
