These are the parts you will need to construct the Taos Amp Stereo Bar
1. Above is a octical cover plate for an electrical box. It is essentially a 4 x 4 inch piece of fairly soft metal with rounded corners that will serve as a base plate for the stereo bar.
2. These Microphone stand adaptors are from Radio Shack. They work well with thin microphones and they're pretty solid with a good spring tension. They come with the threaded metal pipes you will need.
3. A third mic adaptor, make it a heavy duty item.
4. Mic stand rings. You probably have some around not doing anything useful but if not, they might be the hardest part to find. 5. Self taping metal screws. You will need 2 or 3 each # 4 x 1/2" or # 4x3/4
6. Some good epoxy. I prefer JB Weld regular drying time, it's the real thing.
7. Small cable clamps to secure the mic cords. The type that opens (on the left) is the easiest to use.
8. A few drill bits. On the left is a 5/8" speedbor blade. This type bit is usually used on wood but luckily the electrical box cover plate is soft enough that this kind of bit will work if you first drill a pilot hole with a regular 3/16". A 1/8" bit is used to drill three holes for the #4 x 1/2" screws. A 1/16" bit is also required but it missed the photo shoot because it had another gig.
